The Special Environmental Security Forces arrested 64 violators of the environmental law (45 citizens, 18 residents of Sudanese nationality and a resident of Syrian nationality), who committed violations of grazing 2,477 camels and 1,032 heads of sheep in places where grazing is prohibited in the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve and the King Salman Reserve. Royal, Imam Abdulaziz bin Muhammad Royal Reserve, and Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve.
The spokesman for the Special Forces for Environmental Security, Colonel Abdul Rahman Al-Otaibi, stated that the regular procedures were applied against the violators, stressing that the penalty for violating camel grazing is a fine of up to (500) riyals for each body, and the penalty for grazing sheep is a fine of up to (200) riyals for each head.
And he urged to report any cases that represent an attack on the environment or wildlife on the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
