An explosive device exploded today (Thursday) in a residential apartment in the Al-Jamous area in the southern suburbs, which belongs to one of the detainees of the Al-Ghul family by the Lebanese Army Intelligence a few weeks ago, on charges of manufacturing explosive devices via YouTube.
The explosion led to great destruction in the building, and caused the death of a woman named Doaa Farhat while she was cleaning the aforementioned apartment, which information indicates that she was his aunt, while the security forces immediately cordoned off her and a thorough search was conducted for additional explosives that might be in the place.
The arrested young man, who lived in the apartment, called (M. Al-Ghoul), is accused of manufacturing explosives, although his age does not exceed 20 years, and he was arrested following an explosion inside a house in the Al-Safir area in the southern suburbs on March 27, while he was in the process of preparing a device. explosives inside his house.
After conducting investigations and inspecting the house at the time, raw materials used in the manufacture of explosives were seized. As a result of the detainee’s interrogation, and according to the statement of the Lebanese Army’s Orientation Directorate, it was found that al-Ghoul was planning to carry out criminal acts in various places, commissioned by external operators whose identities have not yet been revealed by the security services.
Security sources revealed at the time that the investigations led them to the ghoul’s partner, who is twenty years older than him and lives in the Aramoun area, and his role is to secure drugs and explosive materials and deliver them to the ghoul. The security services were able to arrest the ghoul’s partner, and the surprise was that the two young men were practicing witchcraft, preparing jinn and black magic, as well as manufacturing explosives.
In March, the police found weapons, drugs, explosive devices ready to be detonated, raw materials for making explosives, metal pipes equipped with iron balls equipped with explosive materials, as well as an explosive belt that al-Ghoul prepared to detonate himself in the event that he was discovered.
