Today, an evacuation plane carrying 29 South Korean nationals arrived at King Abdullah Air Base in the western sector in Jeddah, after their evacuation from the Republic of Sudan, led by the Korean ambassador to Sudan and a number of Korean diplomats.
They were received by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom, John Young Park, the Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah Region, Mazen bin Hamad Al-Hamli, the Commander of the Western Region, Major General Pilot Ahmed Al-Dubais, and the Commander of King Abdullah Air Base in the Western Sector, Major General Pilot Abdullah Al-Zahrani.
The Korean ambassador, on behalf of the Presidential Office in the Republic of South Korea, expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the contribution of the Kingdom’s government to the evacuation of Korean nationals coming from Sudan.
He praised the Kingdom’s humanitarian efforts in various aspects, and its keenness to provide assistance and support to friendly countries, expressing his thanks to the authorities in the Kingdom for the warm reception of the Korean mission, and for facilitating their procedures from their departure until their arrival in the Kingdom’s lands.
