The Arab Parliament will hold its fourth plenary session for the third session of the third legislative term tomorrow (Sunday) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo, headed by the President of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi.
The four permanent committees of the Arab Parliament (the Committee on Foreign and Political Affairs and National Security, the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, the Committee on Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs, the Committee on Social, Educational and Cultural Affairs, Women and Youth) had concluded their meetings today in Cairo, where the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Political and National Security discussed developments The political and security situation in the Arab world, and how to support and immunize Arab societies from phenomena alien to cultural and societal values and religious beliefs.
The Economic and Financial Affairs Committee discussed the economic conditions of the Arab world due to the current crises that have repercussed on the global economy as a whole and the Arab world in particular, as well as discussing the strengthening of aspects of Arab economic cooperation between Arab countries in light of the desired joint Arab economic integration, as it is a basic pillar for achieving the needs and well-being of people.
In light of the Arab Parliament’s keenness to interact with issues in the Arab world through constructive legislation, the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee discussed the situation, protection and promotion of human rights in the Arab world. It also discussed a guiding draft law on protecting privacy and combating electronic extortion in Arab countries, and a draft A road map to confront child labor, especially its worst forms.
The Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs also discussed the latest developments in the report on the social situation of the Arab countries, and the discussions focused on the draft adoption of the “Certificate of International Proficiency in the Arabic Language”, in light of the Arab Parliament’s interest in the Arabic language, its promotion and advancement, given its regression and challenges aimed at achieving Distorting and weakening it in light of globalization, the spread of modern technology, and the dominance of other foreign languages.
These meetings come within the framework of preparation for the fourth plenary session of the Arab Parliament for the third session of the third legislative term, scheduled to be held tomorrow (Sunday) at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.
