Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian announced that he had received an official invitation from Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to visit the Kingdom, and that he would accept it. And he said, in a press conference in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, yesterday (Friday): that he had sent an official invitation to Prince Faisal bin Farhan to visit Tehran, and that he welcomed the invitation. He stressed that the recent developments between Riyadh and Tehran open the door to positive climates at the regional level. The Iranian minister revealed that the embassies in Saudi Arabia and Iran will reopen in the next few days. On Wednesday, the Iranian minister began a 3-day visit to Lebanon. Abdullahian considered that the region has entered a new phase of collective cooperation. On the tenth of last March, a joint statement was issued between Iran, Saudi Arabia and China, in which Riyadh and Tehran announced the agreement to resume diplomatic relations between them and to reopen their embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months.
