The joint field campaigns to follow up and control violators of residence, work and border security regulations, which took place in all regions of the Kingdom, for the period from 9/29/1444 AH corresponding to 4/20/2023 AD until 10/6/1444 AH corresponding to 4/26/2023 AD, resulted in The following results:
First: The total number of violators caught in the joint security field campaigns in all regions of the Kingdom amounted to 10,606 violators, including 5,620 violators of the residency law, 3825 violators of the border security law, and 1161 violators of the work law.
Second: A total of 1,087 people were caught trying to cross the border into the Kingdom, 25% of them were Yemenis, 74% were Ethiopians, and 1% were other nationalities. Also, 29 people were arrested for trying to cross the borders outside the Kingdom in an irregular manner.
Third: 10 people involved in transferring, harboring and operating violators of residency, work and border security regulations and covering up for them were arrested.
Fourth: The total number of those who are currently subject to the procedures for implementing the regulations is 23,206 violating expatriates, including 19,566 men and 3,640 women.
Fifth: 14,576 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 2,812 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations, and (3,254) violators were deported.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of violators of the border security system to the Kingdom, or transfers them within it, or provides them with shelter, or provides them with any assistance or service in any way, exposes himself to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, and confiscation. The means of transportation and housing used for shelter, in addition to defamation of it.
She explained that this crime is considered one of the major crimes that require arrest, and breaches honor and trust, urging that any cases of violation be reported to the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the Kingdom’s regions.
