The Times of India summed up the causes of trembling hands in a group of symptoms, as it quoted Kolkata psychiatrist Dr. Sanjay Garg as saying: “Anxiety triggers the body’s protective or defensive response, and it rises with adrenaline, which stimulates a racing heart and muscle tremors and shaking.” She stated that among the causes is a neurological disorder that causes shaking of the hands, head and voice, and it is the most common cause of trembling hands, especially in the elderly, and the cause may be unknown at times.
