After faltering and going through stages that halted work in completing its construction, the National Center for Privatization included Umm Al-Qura University Hospital in the list of projects available to investors in the education sector. In preparation for its official launch on the platform designated for that. The university hospital is among the projects of the university’s strategic plan 2027, which is part of the infrastructure development program. It covers an area of 88,000 square meters and has a capacity of 400 beds. Which makes it an enabling hospital for excellence in medical education, specialized scientific research, and the provision of health care services to the local community and the guests of the Merciful of pilgrims, visitors, and Umrah performers. Umm Al-Qura University Hospital is distinguished by its geographical location and proximity to the holy sites. Which makes it an additional value with the participation of specialists from among the faculty members and students of the health faculties at the university. The President of Umm Al-Qura University, Prof. Dr.. Maadi Al-Madhab stated that the hospital project started in 2006, and went through stumbling stages that stopped work in completing its construction. However, the university has sought, during the past two years, to complete all the requirements for the allocation of the university hospital. This is done with the services it includes, and in integration with the educational services of the university and the health system in the Kingdom, and in partnership with the private sector.
