Today (Sunday) the works of the fourth plenary session of the third session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament began, headed by the Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdul Rahman Al-Assoumi, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League.

The session discussed developments in the current situation in the region, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue, the central issue of the Arab and Islamic world, reiterating in this context the solidarity of the Arab Parliament with the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights and establish their independent state, and follow up on current developments, especially in light of the dangerous and unprecedented escalation of the right of the Palestinian people in The West Bank and the occupied city of Jerusalem at the beginning of this year, once again strongly condemning and denouncing the escalation of aggression by Israeli settlers that target cities and camps in the West Bank, attacking citizens and their property, burning cities and homes, and repeated incursions against the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of Jerusalem, calling on the international community and the Security Council to provide protection for the defenseless Palestinian people.

With regard to the situation in Sudan, the Arab Parliament expressed its solidarity with the Sudanese people in their ordeal, calling for peaceful dialogue to defuse the current crisis, and work to restore stability to the State of Sudan as soon as possible, stressing the unity of Sudanese lands, preserving the Sudanese army and rejecting external interference. At the same time, appreciating all the Arab and international efforts that have been made in this regard, in order to stop the bloodshed.

The plenary session discussed draft resolutions and laws submitted by the parliament’s committees after their preparatory meetings for the session, to follow up and monitor all events and political developments in the Arab countries during the current year, and the relentless pursuit of resolving Arab crises and issues through the paths of a political solution, in addition to the current economic conditions in the Arab region and a project A guiding law on protecting privacy and combating electronic extortion and a draft road map to confront child labour, in addition to a number of issues related to the situation of human rights in the Arab world for the year 2022, and the preparation of an Arab guiding law to combat the phenomenon of bullying in the Arab world, and a special note on the preparation of a unified Arab vision To take care of Arab refugees and work to resettle them in their countries of origin, and a memorandum on the repercussions of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria on the human rights situation and facing the repercussions of disasters. Arabic, promoting and advancing it.
