The war in Sudan continues, despite repeated attempts to implement armistice agreements. The horizon is still closed to any potential initiatives. The eyes of the Sudanese became attached to diplomatic efforts. Which the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Britain, Prince Khaled bin Bandar, confirmed that the Kingdom is making efforts to achieve two main goals; They are: a cease-fire and a return to the peace process aimed at arranging the return of civilian rule to the country; It is the process that the war came to stop. It is unfortunate and painful that the fire exchanged by the two fighting parties is not limited to them alone, but rather has led to the killing of hundreds, the injury of thousands of others, and the displacement of tens of thousands, who were forced to flee towards the regions, and incur the hardships of perilous travel to seek refuge in Egypt, Chad, Ethiopia and South Sudan. The situation is so serious that the United Nations and humanitarian organizations have found themselves unable to carry out their work. Due to the closure of Sudan’s airports and its only port (Port Sudan), it has become impossible to transport food supplies, medicines, and medical supplies. This is something that will turn the lives of those who remained in the capital and those who fled to other cities and villages into a real hell, due to the scarcity of food and drinking water. And for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to initiate such intense diplomatic contacts is an expression of its keenness on Sudan’s security and stability. It is hoped that both warring parties will respond to these noble endeavors.
