Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated in the meeting of the Ministerial Contact Group on Syria, in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
The Amman Consultative Meeting kicked off this morning (Monday), between the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Egypt.
During the meeting, consultations took place and views were exchanged on the efforts exerted to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis that would end all its repercussions and preserve Syria’s unity, security, stability, and Arab identity, and return it to its Arab surroundings, in a way that achieves the good of its brotherly people.
The ministers also stressed the importance of resolving the humanitarian crisis, providing an appropriate environment for aid to reach all regions in Syria, creating the necessary conditions for the return of Syrian refugees and displaced persons to their areas, ending their suffering, enabling them to return safely to their homeland, and taking more measures that would contribute to stabilizing the situation. in the entire Syrian territory.
After that, memorial photos were taken for Their Highnesses and Excellencies, the heads of the delegations of the countries participating in the Amman Consultative Meeting.
The Kingdom’s delegation participating in the meeting included the Undersecretary for Political Affairs, Dr. Saud Al-Sati, the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Jordan, Nayef Al-Sudairi, and the Director General of the Office of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Rahman Al-Daoud.
