Ambulance teams affiliated with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Makkah Al-Mukarramah succeeded in restoring the pulse of an Indian pilgrim performing Umrah in the Grand Mosque.
The Director General of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority branch in Makkah Al-Mukarramah region, Dr. Mustafa bin Jamil Baljoun, said that the medical deportation, command and control room in the authority received a notification at 9:44 a.m. yesterday, stating that there was a case suffering from fainting and stopping the heart and breathing in the path of the vehicles in Al-Masa’i in the Holy Mosque of Makkah.
Beljoun added that upon the arrival of the medical team, it was found that there was a man in his sixties who was lying on the ground unconscious and breathing.
He pointed out that immediately the ambulance team and the protocol teams followed for such cases intervened, and began CPR through the shock device until the pulse returned.
The patient was transferred to Ajyad General Hospital and placed under intensive care.
