The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman expressed its appreciation to the competent authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their cooperation in facilitating the process of evacuating Omani nationals through Jeddah Governorate by the Royal Saudi Navy, and to the Republic of Egypt for facilitating the entry of a number of them through its land ports.
The Sultanate of Oman had evacuated a number of its Omani nationals and their families, along with a number of Sudanese families residing in the Sultanate of Oman, from the capital Khartoum, Omdurman and other regions, and their arrival to the Sultanate of Oman was secured.
The Omani Foreign Ministry stated, in a statement issued yesterday, that efforts are still in place to evacuate a number of other citizens and residents who are in other Sudanese cities.
