The UAE International Conference on Developments in Autism Research in its 11th session, which lasted for 4 days, was concluded in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, under the auspices of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the organization of the institution in cooperation and coordination with the Lotus Holistic Group Abu Dhabi and the Russian Center for Challenges Autism and its solutions in Moscow.
During the four days of the conference, more than 52 researchers from 26 countries around the world participated, and the conference was accompanied by 5 training workshops, thus achieving the desired goals, namely providing advanced therapeutic methods to alleviate suffering, providing practical and scientific workshops, and educating families of people with autism about the multiple ways of dealing, feeding and cooperation methods. The joint efforts of researchers, the exchange of research, studies and experiences, working to integrate cases of autism effectively without distinction or discrimination, and raising awareness about rejecting bullying as unacceptable behavior, calling for the opening of specialized centers for the autism spectrum, and raising the cultural level of society through documentaries, visual presentations and media materials that teach the community more about autism. On the last day of the conference, Dr. Abdullah Al-Humaidan, Secretary-General of the Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, read the closing statement.
