Turkish media revealed today (Monday) that the leader of the terrorist organization ISIS, Abu Al-Hussein Al-Qurashi, was killed in a Turkish operation in Syria, explaining that Al-Qurashi blew himself up with an explosive belt for fear of being arrested.
The Turkish news agency “Anatolia” quoted what it described as security sources as saying: The leader of the terrorist organization “ISIS” Abu Al-Hussein Al-Qurashi, who was neutralized by Turkish intelligence in Syria in a 4-hour operation, detonated himself an explosive belt for fear of being arrested.
The sources added: Turkish intelligence has obtained information that the terrorist Abu al-Hussein al-Qurashi is located in the Jenderes area of Afrin, northern Syria, and that he will change his residence soon, noting that a special team of Turkish intelligence carried out a secret operation on April 29, 2023 on the house where al-Qurashi was staying. .
The sources indicated that the house contained a camouflaged underground hideout, and that a call was made to Al-Qurashi to surrender himself, but no response was received, indicating that the special operation team blew up the walls of the house’s garden, then blew up the back doors and side walls, and entered the building.
The sources stated that the terrorist Abu Al-Hussein Al-Qurashi detonated himself an explosive belt that he was wearing after he realized that he would be arrested, and according to “Anatolia”, no members of the special team or civilians were harmed during the four-hour operation.
It is noteworthy that Al-Qurashi joined the ranks of the terrorist organization “ISIS” in 2013, and rose to high positions within a short period, and was declared a “caliph” on November 30, 2022, following the killing of his previous predecessor.
