The Ministry of Culture has established the Taif flower collars, an elegant imprint that expresses the cultural and human dimension in Taif, and they decorate the heads of the people and visitors for the 18th Rose Festival, which the Ministry has organized in Al-Raddaf Park since the first days of the Eid, and it is still continuing, and these collars reflect the features of kindness and hospitality. The Ministry has allocated for gifting collars an independent event that travelers receive through the arrival and departure halls at Taif Airport, to be considered a human and cultural heritage that distinguishes the people of the province, both men and women. The collars became more lustrous with their bright color above the heads to spread the best and most expensive aromatic scents in the world, and many of the wearers repeat those beautiful words coinciding with the advent of summer and the moderate weather under the showers of rain from the month of Ramadan until today, and the words are by the poet Abdulaziz Abu Ghanima and sung by Yahya Lubban, which is one of the eternal songs. During a field tour of the festival site in the center of the governorate, Okaz monitored the success of the Ministry of Culture in highlighting the heritage value of roses and their products, including collars, and farmers took care of them to be placed on heads, to celebrate the harvest season. The prices of one collar varied between 15-20 riyals. Abdullah Al-Tuwairqi says that one garland requires more than 30 roses, according to the sizes. Mutlaq Al-Otaibi pointed out that the demand to buy them is a prominent feature of the festival this year.
Sultan Abdulaziz encouraged the importance of rose collars.
Farmers indicated that their sale constitutes lucrative financial returns. The collar of roses is one of the inherited heritage customs that show the harmony of the people of this land with their nature. Taif is famous for hundreds of pink farms scattered in Al-Hada, Al-Shifa, Wadi Muharram, the country of Tuwaireq, and Al-Talhat, in a colorful nature that blends between greenery and pink colors.
