The Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Civil Status, Lieutenant General Sulaiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya, launched the two services “Request to issue an identity for family members” and “Issue a replacement for a damaged national identity card” on the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform (Absher).
The “Civil Status” stated that the “request to issue an identity for family members” service will enable male and female citizens to identify a family member electronically, print the special form, and request the issuance of a national identity for a family member electronically, with the possibility of delivering the document to the beneficiary’s national address after visiting the office.
She added that the “Issuance of an ID instead of a damaged” service will enable male and female citizens to request the issuance of the document electronically through the beneficiary’s account on the Absher platform and request delivery to his national address, without the need to visit the civil status offices.
She indicated that beneficiaries can view the procedures and requirements of services by logging into the user account on the Absher platform, selecting civil status from the My Services icon, and then selecting National Identity Services.
The Civil Status confirmed that these services come within the development steps of electronic transactions aimed at saving time and effort, shortening procedures, and improving the quality of its services to beneficiaries, in line with the expansion of smart solutions and digital transformation to facilitate transactions and procedures, and raise the level and efficiency of services provided to citizens.
