While strict security measures were imposed around the “Kremlin”, Russia announced today (Wednesday) the opening of a criminal investigation into the attack that targeted the Kremlin building last night, and a criminal case was filed under the attempt to strike the residence of the Russian President in the Kremlin.
The committee said in a statement on “Telegram” “On behalf of the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin, a criminal case was filed under Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (terrorist act) in connection with the attempt by the Kiev regime to attack with drones the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in The Kremlin,” indicating that two drones targeted the Kremlin building.
It indicated that as a result of the timely measures taken by the military forces and security services using radar warfare systems, the two drones were rendered inoperable.
Russia accused its neighbor Ukraine of being behind the attack, but President Volodymyr Zelensky denied his country’s connection to the attack, stressing that the army is fighting only on Ukrainian soil.
