The Egyptian President and the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, discussed today (Thursday) developments in the situation on the Arab and international arenas, and their repercussions on national security in light of the current circumstances and challenges.
The meeting, in the presence of the army leaders, reviewed a number of files and topics related to the activities and missions of the Egyptian armed forces, and its efforts to protect Egyptian national security on all strategic directions of the state, praising the efforts made by the armed forces in all the tasks entrusted to it, and the role it plays in protecting the borders of the state against All potential threats, in addition to its contributions to supporting the foundations of development and the completion of giant national projects.
The spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, Counselor Ahmed Fahmy, stated that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is meeting with senior leaders of the Armed Forces at the Strategic Command Headquarters.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the Yemeni Minister of Defense, Lieutenant General Mohsen Al-Daari, stressing during the meeting Egypt’s full fraternal support for Yemen and its support for efforts to reach a political solution to the crisis, in a way that achieves the interests of the Yemeni people at various levels, and helps them overcome all challenges, leading to the restoration of security and stability. For his part, the Yemeni Minister of Defense affirmed the great appreciation for the historical relations between the two countries, and the Egyptian efforts in support of the stability of Yemen, expressing the aspiration to strengthen the frameworks of joint bilateral cooperation, within the framework of Egypt’s pivotal role in advancing Arab solidarity and integration.
