Today (Thursday), the Ilsky Oil Refining Factory in the Krasnodar Territory, southern Russia, was exposed to a fire caused by the fall of 4 drones, one of which did not explode, according to the Russian “Novosti” agency, quoting a security source.
And the governor of the Krasnodar region, Veniamin Kondratyev, stated that a fire broke out at three o’clock in the morning today in the Ilsky oil refinery, located 30 km from the capital of the region, the city of Krasnodar, indicating that the fire caught in tanks containing oil products in the refinery and was extinguished after two and a half hours.
He pointed out that according to preliminary information, the accident did not result in injuries and there is no threat to the residents of the area surrounding the refinery.
For his part, the representative of the Regional Directorate of Emergency Situations stated that the cause was an attack by drones, indicating that the refinery was attacked by four drones.
