Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received a phone call today (Friday) from United States Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
During the call, the two ministers discussed developments in the Republic of Sudan, stressing the importance of stopping the military escalation between the conflicting parties and ending the violence.
The two sides reviewed the developments of the Saudi-American initiative to host representatives of the two parties in the city of Jeddah, which aims to prepare the necessary ground for dialogue to reduce the level of tensions there, in a way that guarantees the security and stability of Sudan and its brotherly people.
They also discussed aspects of bilateral relations between the two countries, prospects for cooperation in various fields, and issues of common concern.
