The Japanese Public Broadcasting Corporation announced that an employee of a special police unit was suspected of having committed suicide in the outdoor traffic bathroom of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida’s office.
NHK, a 25-year-old riot police officer in the Metropolitan Police Department, was found bleeding inside the toilet of a guard station early on Friday after gunfire rang out, NHK said.
Upon examination, they found a wound in his head, and a firearm was lying next to him, and he was taken to the hospital, but his death was soon announced. It is suspected that the accident is a suicide.
