The Minister of Health praised the distinguished pioneering model achieved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting the pandemic, thanks to God Almighty, and then thanks to the directives and follow-up of the wise leadership and the concerted efforts of all concerned parties from the public and private sectors, and the great role played by members of the Saudi society, citizens as well as residents, in confronting the pandemic through Their cooperation, awareness, and commitment to preventive precautions, and their eagerness to take vaccinations and immunization doses.
Al-Jalajel pointed out that the great development enjoyed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields, foremost of which is health services, is the result of the ambitious vision of the Kingdom 2030, which aims to enhance the quality of life of citizens in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, of which the health sector transformation program is one of its most important pillars and aims to structure The health sector in the Kingdom to be a comprehensive, effective and integrated health system, based on the health of the individual and society, including the citizen, resident and visitor. And the establishment of the National Health Laboratory and the National Center for Health Crisis and Disaster Management, which was reflected in the optimal handling during the pandemic phases and made the Kingdom a distinguished model in dealing with the pandemic at the international level.
The minister stated that the Kingdom has made many distinguished efforts in facing the Covid-19 crisis, including providing treatment for all without exception to citizens and residents, including violators of the residency system, as well as raising the capacity of all health services, in intensive care rooms and hospitals, and providing all the necessary capabilities of medicines. And vaccines, laboratories, tools and equipment in record time, and harnessing technical systems to confront the pandemic.
Al-Jalajel stressed that the technical progress witnessed by the Kingdom at all levels and at the level of the health sector in particular was reflected in the ability to effectively respond to the repercussions of the Covid-19 crisis through digital health solutions and virtual care, activating data management and analysis, and providing multiple outlets to provide services to citizens and residents that contribute to achieving Its access to everyone is easy and simple, which enabled the Kingdom to control the pandemic in its early stages by activating the precautionary and preventive aspects and related appropriate protocols, which enabled it to cautiously return to normal life, and contributed to it occupying advanced positions globally as the best countries to live in. at the time of the pandemic, in addition to an advanced level in the classification of health security and achieving high community immunity rates; To become an example and a pioneering model to benefit from its experience and expertise during its management of the crisis.
He referred to the leading role of the Kingdom at the international level, as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques called the President of the G-20 Summit at the time to hold an emergency session for the leaders of the G-20 countries to discuss the Kingdom’s initiative to help countries affected by the repercussions of the pandemic, and the leaders adopted the Saudi initiative and the Kingdom worked to implement it, and the Kingdom also supported The efforts of the World Health Organization to protect societies, which helped the organization to fulfill its international obligations during the crisis, in addition to the Kingdom’s direct support to a number of countries affected by the crisis by providing preventive and curative supplies to confront the pandemic.
The Minister of Health extended his thanks and appreciation to all workers in the health sector, including doctors, practitioners and administrators, for their tangible efforts and dedication in performing their national, professional and humanitarian duty, indicating that they were a strong shield to protect the health of the country and the citizen, and he singled out the health martyrs who gave their lives during the pandemic by praying that God bless them with the abundance of His mercy.
