He referred to the leading role of the Kingdom at the international level, as the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the President of the G20 summit at the time, called for an emergency session for the leaders of the G20 summit countries to discuss the Kingdom’s initiative to help countries affected by the repercussions of the pandemic, and the leaders adopted the Saudi initiative and the Kingdom worked to implement it, as the Kingdom did By supporting the efforts of the World Health Organization to protect societies, which helped the organization to fulfill its international obligations during the crisis, in addition to the Kingdom providing direct support to a number of countries affected by the crisis by providing preventive and curative supplies to confront the pandemic.
Al-Jalajel stated that the great development that Saudi Arabia enjoys in all fields, foremost of which is health services, is a fruit of the ambitious vision of the Kingdom 2030, which aims to enhance the quality of life of citizens in Saudi Arabia, and that the health sector transformation program is one of its most important pillars and aims to structure the health sector in the Kingdom to be A comprehensive, effective and integrated health system, based on the health of the individual and society, including the citizen, resident and visitor, which contributed to enabling the health sector to confront the pandemic through a number of its initiatives and projects that worked to anticipate the future and its challenges; Such as the establishment of the Public Health Authority “Prevention” and the establishment of the National Health Laboratory and the National Center for Health Crisis and Disaster Management; This was reflected in the optimal handling during the pandemic phases and made the Kingdom a distinguished model in dealing with the pandemic at the international level.
The Minister of Health stated that the Kingdom has made many distinguished efforts in confronting the Covid 19 crisis, including providing treatment for all citizens and residents without exception, including violators of the residency system, as well as raising the capacity of all health services, in intensive care rooms and hospitals, and providing all the necessary capabilities of medicines.
