Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh, on Wednesday 27 Shawwal 1444 corresponding to May 17, 2023, will patronize the inauguration ceremony of the National Cybersecurity Awareness Program (AMAN), which is launched by the National Cybersecurity Authority in cooperation with SABIC, with the aim of promoting the values of preserving national security and raising the level of Awareness of cybersecurity among various segments of society in the Kingdom, and introducing best practices in protecting society from cyber risks.
The National Program for Cybersecurity Awareness (AMAN) includes a set of specific initiatives and programs that include five tracks: “Awareness Exhibitions”, which include holding awareness exhibitions about cybersecurity in various regions of the Kingdom, targeting more than 350,000 visitors from various segments of society, and the “Virtual Lectures” track. Which aims to provide multiple virtual lectures in the field of cybersecurity for all segments of society, and the “guidance sessions” track, which is concerned with providing awareness sessions in the field of cybersecurity for school and university students, whose topics include concepts of cybersecurity and its importance at the national level, and other related topics in field, and the “Ambassadors of Education” track, which is concerned with qualifying and training ambassadors and enabling them to hold field lectures in various educational facilities for about 6 million male and female students in more than 30,000 schools, and 63 universities and colleges, and the “Awareness Messages” track, which aims to publish educational text messages for all categories of students. Community in more than 12 languages.
The National Cybersecurity Awareness Program, whose implementation extends for a year in various regions of the Kingdom, comes as part of the authority’s strategic initiatives to raise awareness of cybersecurity in the Kingdom, promote the values of maintaining national security, and protect society from the dangers in cyberspace, as well as within the efforts of SABIC. In supporting national initiatives and its eagerness to actively participate in events and events that are concerned with promoting a culture of cybersecurity among members of society.
