The Emir of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, Chairman of the Hajj and Visitation Committee in the region, Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, chaired the second meeting of the committee to review the operational plans and programs that will be implemented by government agencies during the Hajj season 1444 AH.
During the meeting, the Emir of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region stressed the importance of the readiness of all sectors related to the work of the Hajj season this year, in line with the state’s directions in returning the numbers of pilgrims for the Hajj season to what they were before the Corona pandemic without conditions or age restrictions, noting the level of care and attention given by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. The two honorable King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his trustworthy Crown Prince, to the Two Holy Mosques and their destinations, and diligent directives to translate this by providing the best services to the guests of the Most Merciful, visitors to the Prophet’s Mosque.
The meeting reviewed the features of the operational plan of the Agency of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for Visiting Affairs in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region, which includes receiving 1.85 million pilgrims representing pilgrims abroad, through all ports prepared to receive the guests of Rahman, in addition to reviewing housing services and vacant hotel capacity within the central area surrounding the Prophet’s Mosque.
The Emir of the region and members of the committee were also briefed on the plan of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Prophet’s Mosque, which included programs for organizing and managing crowds, visiting and praying in the honorable kindergarten, and service programmes, while the Pilgrims Housing Committee reviewed the statistical indicators for the Hajj season 1444 AH, which included applications submitted and permits issued for licensed buildings. In addition to requests falling within the scope of the procedure within the scope of the targeted units inside and outside the scope of the central area.
Meanwhile, the operational plan for the Hajj season at Prince Muhammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport reviewed its preparations to receive flights coming from the air port, with an expected increase of 136% compared to the last Hajj season, in addition to the airport’s preparations to receive the guests of Rahman, who benefit from the services of the Makkah Road Initiative.
In the health aspect, the city’s health department completed its preparations by preparing health facilities with an operational capacity of 3,324 inpatient beds, in addition to 828 intensive care beds, in addition to primary health care centers.
The committee also discussed a number of topics on the agenda and made the necessary recommendations in their regard.
At the end of the meeting, the Emir of Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah Region, Chairman of the Hajj and Visitation Committee in the region, urged everyone to make more efforts and harness the capabilities provided by the state for everything that would achieve facilitation and comfort for the guests of Rahman during their visit to the city of the Chosen One, peace be upon him.
