On Sunday, a spokeswoman for the border guards, Anna Michaliska, wrote on Twitter that a Russian Su-35 fighter carried out “aggressive and dangerous maneuvers” by approaching a Polish plane without maintaining a safe distance, which led to an imbalance, loss of altitude and temporary loss of control of the plane from its Polish crew. .
“The Russian fighter flew in front of the Polish plane and intercepted it from a dangerous distance, which the crew estimated was about five meters,” it added.
It indicated that the Russian fighter moved away after three times of approaching, in the incident that occurred in international airspace.
The Romanian Ministry of Defense said in a press statement that the behavior of the Russian fighter is completely unacceptable.
“This incident is further proof of the Russian Federation’s provocative approach in the Black Sea,” the ministry said in the statement.
