Saudi Arabia’s positions always affirm that it is the great Arab home that embraces its crises, problems and stumbles. The Syrian crisis remains one of the most important of these crises because of its security, economic, political and social repercussions on the region. Therefore, the Kingdom has made great efforts to resolve the Syrian crisis and bring it back to the Arab fold, through the visit of the Saudi Foreign Minister to Damascus, leading to the meeting of Arab foreign ministers in Cairo. Bin Abdulaziz, by the decision of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level, which stressed the importance of resuming the participation of delegations of the government of the Syrian Arab Republic in the meetings of the Council of the League and all its affiliated organizations and agencies, and this is an affirmation of Saudi Arabia’s keenness to support all efforts aimed at reaching a political solution to the Syrian crisis It preserves Syria’s unity, security, stability, and Arab affiliation, and achieves prosperity and development for its brotherly people.
Perhaps the Arab summit that the Kingdom is hosting in Jeddah on May 19 will be able to restore Syria to its seat in the Arab League, and to find a political solution that will alleviate Syria’s suffering on the political and humanitarian levels.
