The Israeli occupation authorities launched a new war on the Gaza Strip, this morning (Tuesday), killing 13 people, including 3 prominent leaders of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the “Islamic Jihad” movement. The military council and the commander of the northern region in the Al-Quds Brigades, Khalil Salah Al-Bahtini, and one of the leaders of the military action in the Al-Quds Brigades in the West Bank, Tariq Muhammad Izz Al-Din.
A spokesman for the occupation army revealed that 40 combat aircraft participated in the operation, which Israel called the “defensive arrow”. He added that 3 of the military leaders of the Islamic Jihad Movement were killed in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army stated that it had bombed 10 sites in Gaza, including missile manufacturing depots and military compounds belonging to Islamic Jihad, saying that it had achieved all the objectives of the operation.
For its part, Al-Quds Brigades mourned the three commanders who were killed along with their wives and a number of their children in the Israeli raids on the Strip. A spokesman for the Jihad movement said that the resistance will not stop until the end of the Zionist occupation, and that the Palestinian suffering will not be a bridge for the occupation to reach its Israeli public. He added that the resistance will start from where the previous battles ended.
And he considered that all scenarios and options are open to the resistance to respond to the crimes of the occupation, which disregarded all the initiatives of the mediators, stressing that the resistance will avenge the leaders who were killed.
And the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 13 citizens were killed and 20 others, including women and children, were wounded in the Israeli raids.
The Israeli Minister of Defense presided over consultations in Tel Aviv with the participation of the Chiefs of Staff and Military Intelligence. The Israeli home front asked residents of the Gaza border settlements to enter shelters immediately, and declared a state of emergency.
The Israeli Channel 13 said: “The Air Force has called up dozens of fighters from the reserve to mobilize the leadership bodies and fighter squadrons. And the Israeli radio revealed that the army forces are on high alert to face several days of fighting and rocket fire from Gaza, and the occupation army has raised the level of alertness in the defense systems in southern and northern Israel.
The Palestinian National Liberation Movement (Fatah) considered that the terrorist government is losing its mind and killing because it knows in advance that it is facing an international community that is silent and supportive of its crimes. The head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, said: The enemy made a mistake in its assessments and will pay the price for its crime, stressing that only the resistance will determine the way to hurt the treacherous enemy. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem blamed the occupation for the repercussions of its aggression on the Strip, stressing that “the resistance will continue to defend our people and their sanctities.”
