In the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen and the General Supervisor of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Muhammad Saeed Al Jaber, the Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. 330 million Saudi riyals, and annually benefits more than 438,000 people.
Ambassador Al Jaber said in his speech during the opening: The opening of the hospital comes under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and his Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz to support the brothers in Yemen in all fields and we are continuing to do so, adding: « The hospital was a Saudi work in cooperation with the Yemeni government and the local authority in Aden. The hospital was completed, fully rehabilitated and equipped, and we signed an agreement for 3 years.
He pointed out that there are about 229 medium, large and small projects, including Aden International Airport. We have finished the first and second phases, and soon we will lay the stone for the third phase, and there are about 46 projects, including the Aden Sea Road, and we are continuing to support the Yemeni government.
He pointed out that there are many roads, including the Haijat al-Abed road in Taiz, al-Abr in Hadramout, the College of Nursing and Medicine in Taiz, and King Salman City in al-Mahra, and there are projects that are now being implemented.
He explained that medical competencies operate Aden Hospital, and the same company operates Al-Salam Hospital in Saada, Hajjah Hospital, and kidney centers in Aden and Al-Mahra through the King Salman Center for Humanitarian Relief, as well as political, economic and development support for the brothers in Yemen.
The project is a contribution to improving the performance of the health sector in Yemen, raising the quality of services provided in Aden Governorate and its surroundings, and contributing to promoting good health and well-being and improving medical services provided to the Yemeni people, in addition to increasing the chances of Yemeni society of all sects, ages and genders to receive treatment.
The hospital contains 14 specific clinics, in addition to the heart center. The clinics in the hospital include: eye clinic, pediatric clinic, dermatology clinic, dental clinic, ear, nose and throat clinic, orthopedic clinic, internal medicine clinic, and reproductive health clinic, as well as a room for endoscopy and physiotherapy.
It covers an area of 20,000 square meters and was equipped with 2,187 medical devices and equipment with a bed capacity of 270 beds. The project provided all central air conditioning devices for the hospital, in addition to the main and subsidiary electronic boards, etc., and the supply and installation of harmful waste incinerators.
The hospital was established as a gift from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the people of Yemen, and it was funded by the Saudi Fund for Development.
