Weqaya stated that the recommended vaccines for adults and the elderly are 9 vaccines, which are: the seasonal influenza vaccine (one dose annually), the triple bacterial vaccine (for adults: one dose and then a booster dose every 10 years, and for pregnant women: a dose with each new pregnancy in the period). Seventh vaccine: Streptococcus pneumoniae vaccine (multiple pneumococcus: single dose for adults 65 years of age or older one year after the dose of Streptococcus pneumoniae, combined Streptococcus pneumoniae: single dose for immunocompromised or those with chronic co-morbid diseases and also for those 65 years or older). And the eighth vaccine: hepatitis B vaccine (it is taken in three doses if there is no confirmed immunity or previous vaccination, and the second dose is a month after the first dose, and the third dose is after 6 months.
The Public Health Authority indicated that the ninth vaccine recommended for adults and the elderly is: the combined quadruple meningitis vaccine (one dose according to the case, then a booster dose every 5 years).
