The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Saudi Arabia has completed the implementation of all humanitarian evacuations of its citizens and nationals of brotherly and friendly countries from the Republic of Sudan, which came under the directives and follow-up of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Muhammad bin Salman, and in response to requests received by Saudi Arabia from many countries of the world.
The humanitarian evacuations carried out by Saudi Arabia included 8,455 people (404 citizens, and 8,051 people belonging to 110 nationalities), who were evacuated by a group of Royal Saudi Navy ships and Royal Saudi Air Force planes.
Saudi Arabia also assisted brotherly and friendly countries in evacuating 11,184 of its nationals to the Kingdom, and then to their home countries, and provided them with full care and follow-up throughout the evacuation operations, after their arrival and presence in its lands, and until their departure from it.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the thanks of the Government of Saudi Arabia to the brothers in the Republic of Sudan for their cooperation in facilitating the evacuations, and also extended its thanks to all the governments of brotherly and friendly countries that followed up the affairs of their nationals who were evacuated from Sudanese territory, and cooperated in ending the procedures related to their return to their homelands.
