Today (Saturday), Yemeni Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, valued Saudi Arabia’s role and contribution to evacuating more than 700 Yemenis stranded in Sudan to the city of Jeddah, revealing flights that will start tomorrow (Sunday) to evacuate about 720 others out of a total of 2,000 stranded.
Al-Eryani said: The Saudi efforts are an extension of their sincere fraternal positions and their noble, continuous and unlimited support for the Yemeni government and people in various aspects, stages and circumstances, adding: The government later ensured their transportation to Yemeni lands by land and air.
He pointed out that there are flights that will start tomorrow to evacuate students and members of the Yemeni community in Sudan, who wish to return to the land of Yemen, noting that four flights will start on Sunday and Monday from the Sudanese city of Port Sudan to Aden Airport and Sanaa Airport, with 720 students and members of the Yemeni community in Sudan on board. , out of a total of 2,000 citizens wishing to return to Yemen.
He pointed out that preparations are underway to contract with an airline to operate other evacuation flights after all citizens wishing to return from various Sudanese cities have been transferred to Port Sudan at the state’s expense, in addition to the government’s guarantee, despite the difficult conditions and scarcity of capabilities, to cover the expenses of residence and subsistence in Port Sudan.
