The Emir of the Asir region and the head of its development authority, Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, directed the opening of traffic movement, starting tomorrow (Sunday) in the finished parts of the two road projects in the Asir region.
The directive included the completed part of the dual-highway project linking Bisha Governorate and Sabt Al-Alaya, which is 18 kilometers long out of 26 kilometers, the financial cost of which was estimated at (43,774,897 riyals).
Prince Turki bin Talal also directed the opening of traffic in the finished part of the road project linking Muhayil Governorate and the center of Al-Saeedah, with a length of 13,537 km out of a total of 59 km, at a financial cost of 41,341,924 riyals.
The two roads come within the projects of the branch of the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services in the Asir region, which aims to link all the governorates of the region with a modern road network within the framework of the region’s strategy “tops and shims”.
