The Kingdom, under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and the follow-up of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Muhammad bin Salman, continues to record sincere fraternal positions with the government and people of Yemen in various fields, and everything related to the life and future of the Yemeni person.
The Kingdom continues to stand with the internationally recognized legitimate government, and to support the efforts of the President of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, in serving Yemen and the Yemeni people, and in moving towards achieving peace through a political process with the participation of all parties and components, which confirms the Kingdom’s pivotal role in reaching an agreement between the government. Yemen and the Houthis to cease fire, and reach a comprehensive political solution in accordance with a road map that is being built with the two parties, after the previous visits and meetings held by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with the two parties in Sana’a and Riyadh, and the subsequent visits and meetings to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
The Kingdom is aware that the Yemeni people are yearning for a decent life, and lifting the suffering of eight years that were harsh, difficult and bitter. It has sought and continues to achieve peace, security, stability and prosperity in the region, moving it from a stage of conflicts to a stage dominated by stability and security and focusing on achieving the aspirations of the peoples of the region for a future. Better than prosperity and economic integration, Yemen occupied a major place in the interest of the Kingdom and its leadership, and its transition towards the future in a way that achieves the aspirations of its honorable people.
The Kingdom believes that the presence of Yemeni state institutions based in the interim capital, Aden, was essential in facilitating the provision of development and economic programs and projects by donor countries and institutions to Yemen, foremost of which is the Kingdom and its affiliated development institutions, and exceeding the limits of limited relief work. Presidential Council in Aden, in the presence of the Yemeni Prime Minister, and the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, and the airports, hospitals, roads, and educational and training institutions it included, to be complementary to the previous projects and the foundation for other upcoming projects in all Yemeni governorates, especially since the Kingdom was launched in the year 2018. A unique program for the reconstruction of Yemen and support for development projects in it, out of its belief in the importance of development and prosperity, which reflects the Kingdom’s serious and sincere view of supporting Yemen and its further development upon reaching a comprehensive political solution in Yemen.
