While the process of counting the parliamentary and presidential electoral votes continues in all centers in Turkey, the preliminary results of the Turkish presidential elections showed that the candidate of the ruling People’s Alliance, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, was ahead of his competitors, after counting 26% of the votes.

It is still too early to judge voting trends, at a time when media reports indicated a high participation rate in the elections, approaching 90%.
The Supreme Electoral Commission in Turkey announced the lifting of the electoral publishing ban, while the head of the commission, Ahmed Yanar, confirmed that the presidential and parliamentary elections passed without any problems.
