Today (Monday), the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, dismissed Police Lieutenant General Anan Hamid Muhammad Omar from his position as Director General of the Police Forces, and assigned Lieutenant General Khaled Hassan Mohieldin, Human Rights Police, the duties of Director General of the Police Forces. Al-Burhan issued a decision to terminate the service of Ambassador Abdel Moneim Othman Muhammad Ahmed Al-Bayti, and Ambassador Haider Badawi Sadiq from working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He directed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the relevant authorities to put the decision into practice.
And Al-Burhan had relieved, yesterday (Sunday), Hussein Yahya Janqul of his position as governor of the Central Bank of Sudan and appointed Burai Al-Siddiq Ali Ahmed in his place. He directed the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning and the Bank of Sudan to implement the decision.
The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council issued a decision to freeze the accounts of the Rapid Support Forces and its companies in all banks in Sudan and their branches abroad. The statement of the Transitional Sovereignty Council said on its official Facebook account: “The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision to freeze the accounts of the rebel Rapid Support Forces and their companies in all banks in Sudan and their branches abroad.” The decision stipulated preventing the disbursement of any entitlements or budgets allocated for them.
