The local council in Al-Harith Governorate in Jazan discussed in its second session of the current year, chaired by the governor, Makad Al-Subaie, the stumbling of water projects in the governorate for more than 10 years.
The Council also discussed the failure of the Civilization Center project with the Mayor of Al-Harth Fahd Suwaidi, who explained that the project was withdrawn by the Municipality and there are several correspondences to return the project.
While Suwaidi stressed that there are several projects being worked on that serve many villages, including the establishment of parks, improvement of the entrances to some villages, and street lighting.
The return of schools was also discussed with the education representative, Abu Talib Safahi, who confirmed that the Emir of Jazan directed the return of Al-Harith schools, and work is underway to maintain some of them, while work is underway to offer the rest for maintenance.
The attendees discussed with the housing representative the possibility of finding housing units within the governorate to serve needy families. The council discussed with the director of Al-Harth Hospital, Specialist Khaled Harthy, the importance of expanding the hospital, finding a CT scan, and preparing housing for the medical staff, while the representative of the southern health sector was absent from the session with the urgent need to improve the services of health centers in the governorate.
At the end of the session, the Secretary of the Council, Khaled Madkhali, confirmed that all recommendations will be submitted to the emirate to work on providing services to the residents of the governorate.
