The “Allam” application, whose beta version was launched today (Tuesday) by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority “Sadaia”, is the first conversational application in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that chats with users, responds to their inquiries in classical and colloquial Arabic, and drafts summaries and suggestions on many different topics, as a first step In which “Sadaia” aims to build a Saudi generative linguistic model.
This national achievement is one of the achievements that SADAIA seeks to achieve in the field of artificial intelligence as the national reference for data and artificial intelligence in everything related to them in terms of organization, development and dealing in the Kingdom, and within the framework of the unparalleled attention it receives from the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council Ministers, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, to play its role in advancing the fields of data and artificial intelligence, stimulating their growth, and achieving benefit from them to serve humanity.
The application, which is supervised by a national team from “Sodaya”, processes the inputs and answers inquiries in text or voice form, according to the user’s desire. The application allows users to improve and process images and understand their content. The “Allam” application is based on information sources that represent a large group of the most important sources of knowledge in the Kingdom and the Arab world, and it is trained to deal with hundreds of millions of specialized articles, in addition to its harmony with the acceleration of events on all topics, and is compatible with authentic Arab values and culture. The version is continuous development stages until the vision of the application is completed in a way that meets the aspirations of users and those looking for Arabic content in the easiest and fastest way in a safe technical environment.
