The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, chaired the session held by the Council of Ministers, on Tuesday, at the Peace Palace in Jeddah.
At the outset of the session, the Cabinet welcomed the leaders of the member states of the Council of the League of Arab States to participate in the 32nd session meeting at the summit level, which the Kingdom will host next Friday, based on its keenness to sustain joint cooperation at all levels, praying to God Almighty to crown the work of this summit. The Council dealt with the latest political developments in the region and the world, especially the developments of the initiative to resolve the crisis in Sudan, in light of what was reached during the preliminary talks between representatives of the Armed Forces and Rapid Support regarding the agreement to commit to protecting civilians, reaffirming the Kingdom’s continuation of its efforts until security and stability return to this country. and his brotherly people.
The Minister of Information, Salman bin Youssef Al-Dosari, stated that the Cabinet touched on the Kingdom’s interest in developing relations with various countries of the world and pushing them to broader horizons through the exchange of visits and meetings, as well as building bridges with multilateral organizations in a way that increases the effectiveness of teamwork and coordination on issues. of common interest.
In this context, the Council noted the Kingdom’s participation in the ninth Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean States in Guatemala, and its affirmation during the meetings held on the sidelines of its keenness to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with the countries of this region, and its commitment to work with international partners to achieve the goals of sustainable development by 2030. .
The Cabinet reviewed the outputs of the annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group, which were held in Jeddah Governorate, and what it highlighted of the Kingdom’s contribution to launching many regional and international initiatives aimed at supporting economic recovery and facing development challenges, including those related to enhancing food security and addressing the debts of needy countries. .
And the Minister of Information stated that the Council praised the tangible results achieved by the anti-drug security campaign in confronting the activities of criminal networks and attempts to promote this scourge and prevent its smuggling into the Kingdom, in order to protect the sons and daughters of this dear country and its gains.
The Council of Ministers reviewed the topics on its agenda, including topics that the Shura Council participated in studying. It also reviewed the conclusions of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, the Council of Political and Security Affairs, the General Committee of the Council of Ministers, and the Council of Experts in the Council of Ministers.

Approval of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field between the Ministry of Culture in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication in Morocco.

Authorizing the Minister of Finance – or his representative – to discuss with the Turkish side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Finance in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Finance and Treasury in Turkey to enhance cooperation in the financial fields.

Approval of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport in the Government of Barbados.

Approval of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of tourism between the Ministry of Tourism in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Tourism, Investment and Aviation of the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.

Approval of an agreement between the Government of the Kingdom and the Government of Tajikistan on mutual encouragement and protection of investments.

Authorizing the Minister of Investment – or his representative – to discuss with the Romanian side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Government of Romania for cooperation in the field of encouraging direct investment.

Authorizing the Minister of Economy and Planning – or his representative – to discuss with the Spanish side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Economy and Planning in Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Economy and Digital Transformation in Spain for cooperation in the economic field.

Authorizing the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority of Civil Aviation – or his representative – to sign a draft agreement between Saudi Arabia and the Government of Mali in the field of air transport services.

Approval of a cooperation agreement between the Presidency of State Security in Saudi Arabia and the General Directorate of National Territory Monitoring in Morocco in the field of combating terrorist crimes and their financing.

Approval of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and news exchange between the Saudi Press Agency and the Uzbekistan National News Agency.

Amending the organizational arrangements for the King Abdulaziz Award for Quality, issued by Cabinet Resolution No. (354) dated 6/27/1442 AH, as stated in the resolution.
Fourteenth:
Transferring the competence to issue licenses for the teaching and educational consultancy profession from the Ministry of Commerce to the Ministry of Education.
Fifteenth:
Appointing Abdullah bin Saud Al-Rumaih and Fozan bin Mohammed Al-Fawzan (who are interested in the activities of enterprises) as members of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises.
Sixteen:
Renewing the membership of Dr. Walid bin Ahmed Al-Shalfan and Dr. Talaat bin Hassan Habib, and appointing Dr. Omar bin Ghazi Al-Attas as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Waste Management from specialists and experts.

Abdul Rahman bin Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Hussein is promoted to the position of (business advisor) at the (fourteenth) rank at the Ministry of Commerce.
