The Executive Director of the “Vision of Arabism”, Nawfal Daou, stressed the importance of the Arab summit that will be held in Jeddah, considering that it is a result of its timing in circumstances in which the region is witnessing major transformations, whether in the Middle East or the world, likening the upcoming summit to the “Versailles Conference”, which was held after World War I 1919, when the fate of the regions that were under Ottoman rule was determined. Daou told Okaz: This summit will open a wide space for countries such as Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, Libya and other countries in crisis, to join the new Arab order that has begun to be established from the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular, adding that the summit Which is being held in a geopolitical circumstance at the regional level that would crystallize an Arab project that restores the balance lost for years to this region, especially since this Arab project presents the region with a model different from the regional models that were prevalent and based on ideological, ideological and national foundations.
He pointed out that what is happening at the other extreme is a different model based on economic development visions, unlike the regimes that used national wealth for expansionist projects, but this new model is led by the Kingdom and with it the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, as it rejects fanatical nationalisms, political and religious ideologies, and focus human and economic development.
Daou continued his speech: Through this summit, we will witness a model of cooperation and partnerships with all international powers, such as the alliance with the United States without dependence, the alliance with Russia without partnership in wars, and the alliance with China without the Gulf being part of the economic confrontations in the region. The world, civilizational interaction with Europe without being a process of cloning European civilization and culture, and cooperation with large regional groupings, whether in Latin America, Asia, India and others. He stressed that all these models are unique and exceptional to be presented by the Gulf countries, and therefore this summit will crystallize all these domestic, regional and international policies, and will open the door for the countries in crisis in the Middle East to join this new project and establish the new Arab order on the ruins of the previous one.
