The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, participated in the meeting of the Arab Ministerial Contact Group concerned with developments in the situation in the Republic of Sudan, in Jeddah today (Wednesday), with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
The meeting reviewed the most important contents of the Jeddah Declaration, including the commitment to protect civilians in Sudan, and stressed that all efforts would be made to consolidate this agreement, and urged the parties to the conflict to engage in the dialogue process seriously, which would contribute to reducing the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people and the safety and territorial integrity of their lands.
The meeting also discussed the continuation of the Arab Ministerial Contact Group for its efforts and good offices with all Sudanese parties to prevail over the voice of wisdom and uphold the higher interests of Sudan, and to reach solutions that meet the aspirations and aspirations of the Sudanese people towards security, stability and development.
