With the endorsement of the attendance of the leaders of the member universities, the General Conference of the Association of Islamic Universities, in its twelfth session, unanimously renewed its confidence in Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, as President of the Association of Islamic Universities. The conference also blessed the issuance of the association’s statute. The conferees adopted the issuance of an educational guide for Islamic curricula for all academic levels, and the issuance of another guide for intellectual fortification, and an encyclopedia of Islamic values.
Al-Issa announced, from Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the launch of the work of the twelfth general conference of the Association of Islamic Universities, in the presence of their Excellencies, Excellencies, and Excellencies, responsible leaders in a number of member universities.
Al-Issa opened the conference with a speech in which he welcomed the attendees, in the space of the landing of revelation and the cradle of the final message in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, noting the topics and issues on the agenda of the conference, which are among the tasks entrusted to the Association of Universities.
Sheikh Al-Issa explained that the League of Universities is the most important and strongest academic link in Islamic countries, pointing out that the League of Universities assumes qualitative global responsibilities in its new horizon. He emphasized that the association’s new system allows it to expand its missions and activities around the world, appreciating the desire of large universities to join the association’s membership, as well as the desire of other friendly universities to obtain the description of “supporting members.”
While it was announced that the participants in the scientific committees directed that the League of Islamic Universities issue an educational guide for Islamic curricula for all academic levels, a guide for intellectual immunization, and an encyclopedia of Islamic values.
The speeches of the speakers came from the leaders of the Association, and then the General Conference was briefed on the decisions of the President of the Association of Islamic Universities, which stipulate the appointment to leadership positions in the Association, for each of: Dr. Sami Muhammad Rabi` al-Sharif; Secretary General of the Association, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hamaili Bashairi; Vice President for Education Development, Dr. Salama Jumaa Dawood; Vice President for Scientific Research, Dr. Nabil Muhammad Tawfiq Al-Samalouti; Assistant Secretary General for Academic Affairs, Dr. Nourhan El-Sayed El-Sheikh; Assistant Secretary General for External Relations. The General Conference blessed what the President decided, and asked God Almighty for success and success for them.
