A political solution to the Syrian crisis
The Kingdom has a pivotal role in supporting the efforts aimed at finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis that ends all its repercussions and preserves its unity, security and stability, and returns it to its Arab surroundings. The Arab foreign ministers decided to return Syria to its seat in the League of Arab States, after an absence of 12 years, and the Kingdom decided to resume the work of its diplomatic mission in the Syrian Arab Republic.
The return of Syria to its Arab surroundings would accelerate the end of the crisis inside Syria, contribute to the return of Syrian refugees to their homeland, strengthen existing efforts to combat terrorism and eliminate terrorist organizations that threaten the security of Syria and Arab countries, stop drug smuggling and trafficking, and enable state institutions to maintain sovereignty over its lands and an end to foreign interference.
Aid and discussions of the Sudan crisis
The Kingdom has always sensed its leadership role at the Arab and international level in dealing with the crises of the region, especially the Sudan crisis, as it responded to requests submitted by brotherly and friendly countries to evacuate its nationals in the Republic of Sudan, and carried out sea and air evacuations for its citizens and nationals of brotherly and friendly countries from Sudan, and hosted talks between the two parties.
