The American police revealed today (Tuesday) that at least 3 people were killed and 8 others were wounded in a shooting in Fort Worth, Texas, late at night (Monday) local time, according to what was reported by the American “CNN” network.
Sean Murray, Captain of Fort Worth Police, said: “3 of the victims were transferred to Harris Southwest Hospital, and others were transferred to John Peter Smith Hospital,” explaining that the police had no clear information or details about the perpetrator. The incident was either a gang, a domestic dispute or something else.”
This incident is the sixth on the first day of this month, and at least 341 mass shootings were recorded by America during 2023, according to the Armed Violence Archive.
Although the police did not clarify the nature of the operation, whether it was terrorist or criminal, and whether the shooter had been arrested, Texas is one of the most lenient US states regarding the right to carry weapons and display them in public places.
