At least four people were injured when a fire broke out after an explosion occurred in a building in the Shinbashi district of the Japanese capital, Tokyo, according to the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation, citing the fire department.
Bloomberg News reported that photos showed debris outside the building, and smoke and flames billowing from a basement.
It was reported that the explosion occurred at around 3:15 pm local time in a building in the Shinbashi district.
A spokesman for Tokyo Gas told Bloomberg that the company is investigating the matter, without providing further details.
