According to the new appointments, Abu Ali Al-Basri became head of the National Security Agency, while the assignment of Hamid Al-Shatri from the National Security Agency agency was terminated and replaced with Ahmed Al-Tayyar, and the assignment of Faleh Al-Issawi, the second agent of the National Security Agency, was terminated and replaced by Muthanna Al-Obeidi, and the assignment of Majid Al-Dulaimi from the Intelligence Agency was terminated and replaced by Waqas. Muhammad, while Hamid Al-Shatri and Majid Al-Dulaimi were transferred to the National Security Adviser.
Informed government sources stated that Al-Sudani stressed the importance of preserving security expertise, as government decisions included transferring every exempted official to the National Security Adviser.
This step is considered one of the most important steps during Al-Sudani’s rule, as the security services are considered a prelude to entering into more complex files amid the government team’s enthusiasm to carry out reform measures at all levels.
