Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that the Ukrainian forces will not be able to advance in the counterattack they have been launching for about a month without advanced offensive weapons.
He said in a joint press conference with the Czech Prime Minister, Peter Fiala from the capital, Prague, today (Friday): The long-range missiles are necessary for the counter-attack.
Zelensky again criticized the slow delivery of Western weapons, saying that this allowed Moscow to strengthen its defenses in the occupied regions.
For his part, Fiala said that his country will donate combat helicopters and other military equipment to Ukraine. He pointed out that the Czech Republic expects all NATO members to agree to Ukraine’s accession, considering that Ukraine’s future will be within the European Union and NATO.
About a month after the start of the Ukrainian counterattack, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that progress had been made in some places in the vicinity of the destroyed city of Bakhmut, without any penetration anywhere else.
