Next Monday, the sixth joint ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Russia will be held in the Russian capital, Moscow, in an event that seeks to strengthen relations.
The meeting will discuss topics aimed at increasing joint cooperation on the one hand, and providing an opportunity to exchange views on a number of regional and international files, on the other hand.
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Muhammad Al-Budaiwi, stated that the meeting seeks to strengthen relations between the two sides in a way that serves common interests, noting that during this meeting, topics on the agenda will be discussed aimed at increasing joint cooperation on the one hand, and providing an opportunity to exchange views on a number of issues. He pointed out that the Gulf-Russian relations are distinguished, since the two sides signed the memorandum of understanding for the strategic dialogue in November 2011, pointing out that their continuation to today indicates the two sides’ endeavor to move forward to build strong and close relations aimed at serving the common interests of the two sides at all levels and fields.
Al-Budaiwi stated that the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, through the directives of the leaders of the GCC states, is always working to cooperate and build relations with all countries and regional groupings, in an effort to increase and intensify the Gulf regional and international presence, by engaging in strategic partnerships with the various parties of the international community.
