Today (Wednesday), the Governor of the Riyadh region, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, patronized the ceremony honoring the winners of the competition of the Prince of the Riyadh Region for memorizing, reciting and interpreting the Noble Qur’an for boys and girls in the region in its eighth session for the year 1444 AH, which was held with the participation of 252 male and female students, at the emirate’s headquarters. In the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the Prince of Riyadh welcomed the attendees, and said, “We are happy this day to welcome you in the Palace of Government, this place that had a prominent impact and an eternal memory, as it witnessed many decisions and events in the march of King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud – may God have mercy on him – and his loyal men for the establishment of this The blessed country.
He praised the advanced levels achieved by the participants in the competition, praying to God Almighty for success in their future career, giving and serving the country.
And he added: «If we are sincere in this work, then we are sincere in the book of God Almighty, which is the great constitution of this country – may God protect it – and there is no doubt that the planning carried out by His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance in this matter facilitates the workers in this field and for all those who establish and establish it. », stressing that associations and institutions should play their role, and work to promote the right orientation of the youth of the country.
During the speech ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Prince of Riyadh Competition, Abd al-Rahman bin Abdullah al-Hathloul, gave a speech in which he praised the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his trustworthy Crown Prince, which is concerned with teaching the Book of God Almighty internally and externally, as well as the sponsorship of the Prince of the Riyadh Region for this pioneering competition that transcends its goals and bears fruit year after year. .
He added, “The competition witnessed a great turnout from the sons and daughters of this region,” indicating that the number of male and female winners in the competition reached 52, and 22 associations in Riyadh won.
During the ceremony, everyone watched a visual presentation about the competition, after which the Prince of Riyadh honored the arbitrators, the winners, and the winning societies.
